Cancellation Policy
At Safarizo, we understand that travel plans can change due to unexpected circumstances. We strive to make our cancellation process transparent and fair while honoring our commitments to accommodation partners, transportation providers, guides, and other service suppliers across Africa.
Please read the following cancellation policy carefully before confirming your booking.
Booking Confirmation
Your safari or tour booking is confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received and Safarizo has issued a booking confirmation.
By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this Cancellation Policy.
Cancellation by the Traveller
If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify Safarizo in writing via email. The cancellation will become effective on the date we receive your written request.
Cancellation charges may apply depending on how far in advance the cancellation is made before your scheduled departure date.
Please note that certain accommodations, permits, charter flights, gorilla trekking permits, special event bookings, or customized travel arrangements may have stricter cancellation conditions imposed by third-party suppliers. These supplier-specific terms will take precedence where applicable.
Non-Refundable Services
Some travel components cannot be refunded once confirmed. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Government-issued park permits
- Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits
- Conservation fees
- Internal or charter flights
- Special accommodation offers
- Visa fees
- Travel insurance premiums
- Third-party booking fees
Where suppliers do not provide refunds, Safarizo is unable to issue refunds for those services.
Changes to Existing Bookings
If you wish to change your travel dates, itinerary, accommodation, or other services after your booking has been confirmed, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Changes are subject to:
- Availability
- Approval from our suppliers
- Any applicable price differences
- Amendment or administrative fees where required
Not all bookings can be modified after confirmation.

Safarizo shall not be liable for additional expenses incurred by travelers, including airline tickets, visas, hotel stays, travel insurance, or other personal travel arrangements unless required by applicable law.

- Third-party suppliers
Any applicable banking fees, currency exchange differences, or transaction charges may be deducted where permitted.
Third-Party Supplier Policies
Safarizo works with a network of trusted lodges, hotels, safari camps, airlines, transport providers, and local operators throughout Africa.
Certain services are governed by the cancellation policies of these independent suppliers. Where supplier policies differ from Safarizo’s standard terms, the supplier’s cancellation conditions will apply to the affected service.
