Visit Gombe Park
Explore Chimpanzee Conservation at Gombe
Located on Tanzania’s western border, Gombe National Park is the best safari destination for tracking chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
One of the country’s smallest parks, it welcomes visitors with steep valleys, dense greenery, and tropical rainforests. The park houses the Gombe Stream Research Centre (GSRC), established by Primatologist Jane Goodall, who came to Tanzania in `960. You can also see olive baboons, blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and vervet monkeys in the park. The national park is also home to 200+ bird species. You may rarely spot hippos and leopards.
