Kenya's Sanctuaries
Explore Mombasa’s Green Jewel in the North
Haller Park Sanctuary sits on Mombasa’s North Coast, a beautiful testament to a wasteland transformed into paradise that shelters Kenya’s orphaned wildlife.
It was originally called the Bamburi Nature Trail. It was recently renamed Haller Park in honour of Dr Rene Haller, who transformed the abandoned quarry into the ecological wilderness it is today. With over 40 species of mammals, reptiles and amphibians and over 292 species of birds, this sanctuary hosts over 500 school groups and tourists every year.
