Kenya’s Lake Parks
Discover Kenya’s Off-Beaten Lake National Parks
Lake Baringo is a lesser-known lake when compared to popular alternative rift valley lakes such as Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Bogoria, but this hidden gem can be equally breathtaking.
Situated in remote west-central Kenya, Lake Baringo is a freshwater lake with no visible outlet, and its water seeps into lava at its northern end. Here, a rocky shore contrasts with the alluvial flat on its southern border. Over 470 species, hippos and crocodiles along with herbivores like impalas, dik, dik, gazelles, warthogs, zebras and greater kudu inhabit this place.
