Kilimanjaro Trek Guide

Climb the summit of Africa’s highest mountain peak successfully. Prepare the best for the conquest.

Plan Your Trek

Get to the Roof of Africa with the Right Guidance

Standing at an elevation of 5,895 metres overlooking the Tanzanian plains, Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest free-standing mountain on the planet. Climbers don’t need technical climbing skills to experience the adventure. Trekkers need preparation. Even beginners can get to the summit.

You need quality hiking boots, a steady pace, and enough days to let your body adjust to the rising altitude. The trek takes you through rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and finally to the glacier summit ridges.

When to Climb Kilimanjaro?

Trekkers can climb Kilimanjaro year-round, but the dry season is considered the best. Dry, cleaner trails, scenic views, and a higher chance of reaching the summit make it easier. See how the seasons play out on the mountain.

JUNE – OCTOBER

Peak Trekking Season

Dry, stable weather and clear summit views. This is the most crowded time on the mountain, so early booking is a must.

JANUARY – MARCH

Quiet Summit Season

Warmer days, fewer crowds and a scenic view of snow on the summit. An absolute favourite for photographers.

APRIL – MAY & NOVEMBER

Green Season

Lush greenery and empty trails appear in the rainy months. Expect muddy paths and clouds, but lower prices and real solitude.

No. You don’t need to be an athlete. If you can walk 5 to 7 hours a day for subsequent days, you’re fit for the adventure. You may take regular hikes in the months before as part of your preparation.

Machame and Lemosho are popular for great scenery and good acclimatisation profiles. Marangu is the only route that offers hut accommodation along the way.

The treks usually take 6 to 9 days. Longer routes give your body more time to adjust to altitude, which improves your chances of reaching the summit.

Your guides check on you twice a day. Mild symptoms are common and often settle with rest. If the symptoms worsen, you descend and recover quickly.
